Diversity at Hawker Beechcraft Corporation means building a culture in which all employees feel welcome and able to contribute to their maximum. In 2006, the company received the Equal Opportunity Corporate Diversity Award from the Urban League in Wichita, Kan. The award recognized our efforts for further understanding and cooperation among employees, customers and the community; to establish a diversity program that includes recruitment, promotion and supply chain components; and to contribute to improving the quality of life in the greater Wichita metro area by encouraging employee involvement.

One reflection of our commitment to diversity can be seen in the formally recognized networking groups called Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). These groups foster an inclusive work environment so that all employees are fully engaged and working together effectively to meet our business goals.

ERGs serve as forums to communicate diversity issues and concerns to leadership in a neutral, respective environment. Each group focuses on personal and professional development, while also taking on company and community projects.
