Total Training System
The T-6A Ground Based Training System (GBTS) was specifically designed as an integral part of the T-6A Total Training System. USAF and USN T 6A instructor pilots, with extensive experience in basic phase flying requirements, provided on-site expertise to assist the GBTS development team. The result of this collaborative effort is a highly successful GBTS currently used at Randolph, Laughlin, Vance, and Columbus Air Force Bases and Naval Air Station Pensacola in the United States and will also be installed at several more USAF and USN bases as the JPATS system deployments continue during the next several years. Internationally, the system is installed with the Hellenic Air Force (HAF) in Greece. In all, HBC and FlightSafety Services Corporation have delivered 75 total GBTS devices to support the T-6A Training Systems currently deployed.
Hawker Beechcraft has teamed with FlightSafety to develop the GBTS portion of the total T-6A training solution. Hawker Beechcraft formed the GBTS Integrated Product Team (IPT) after an extensive source selection where the bidders were evaluated to determine the best value for our customers.
